As a change management expert, she's lead initiatives empowering employees to understand and adopt shifts in their current environment. Dr. Barss' research studies have focused on how to standardize safety, quality and service in diverse teams. Her findings yielded insights how goals, location, communication and relationships impact team efficacy.

 

Dr. Deborah Smith Cook | Strategist and Team Performance Coach

Dr. Deborah Smith Cook is the owner and president of Atheseus, a coaching and consulting company that delivers team performance coaching, strategy coaching and consulting, and change management through individuals, teams, and organizations to build superior performance. With over 25 years of experience in strategy consulting and talent development strategy, Deborah has held highly responsible positions in both the public and private sector.  Additionally, Deborah created the wildly popular Leading Author Series designed to bring in thought leaders in securities, legal, financial and leadership arenas. She created academic strategic partnerships for Caliber Learning Network, an innovative satellite, videoconferencing, and virtual learning platform. Deborah earned a doctoral degree from Indiana University in Strategic Management and Organizational Behavior and an MBA from Michigan State University with concentrations in finance and marketing.  Deborah was a Fulbright Scholar to INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France.
