Instructional interactivity is the key for creating effective learning experiences that motivate learners to improve performance. Learn a design methodology, consisting of four key elements of instructional interactivity; explore these design principles through examples from organizations who have implemented successful e-learning programs. Finally, you'll apply the design principles learned by building an interactive application in a new cloud-based authoring system.
You will:

eLearning technology provides unprecedented opportunities for creating engaging, meaningful, memorable, and motivating learning experiences. Although there are now also social, collaborative, and mobile possibilities, much eLearning fails to rise above simple presentation and testing. Possible explanations: 1) tools are too difficult to learn and incapable of assisting throughout the process from design conceptualization through delivery, 2) Rapid development tools limit possibilities, or 3) design skills and processes are demanding and lacking. ZebraZapps, a new authoring and delivery technology that supports sketch-based brainstorming/prototyping, can be the answer to an organization’s eLearning development needs. It allows development of very advanced interactivity without programming or scripting, is extremely easy to learn, offers innovative ways to use or create reusable objects, supports industry-wide collaboration, and produces Web 2.0-enriched learning experiences.
Workshop participants will learn the basic features and functionality of ZebraZapps to easily and quickly create interactive and dynamic eLearning. You’ll get the hands-on practice and coaching needed to use ZebraZapps. Interactions created in ZebraZapps will center around an instructional design methodology for creating effective learning experiences with instructional interactivity. You’ll learn to apply these principles in creating interactions in ZebraZapps.
In this workshop, you will learn:
Target audience: Participants with some eLearning experience in building/designing eLearning preferred, but not required.
Technology requirements: Participants should bring a PC or Mac laptop.
